Fresh spinach tends to be highly infested with insects small insects throughout the year. Please check “Special Instructions” below for information on how inspect spinach for infestation.
Fresh Artichokes and Fresh Basil Leaves tend to be infested with aphids, thrips and other insects. Please check "Special Instructions" below for instructions on insect inspection.
Canned Artichokes need a reliable kosher supervision symbol (hechsher)

Canned or jarred Artichokes need a reliable kosher hechsher (kosher symbol on the label). Uncertified canned or jarred artichokes may not be used even if one were to check them scrupulously for insects as they may present more than one Kashruth concern.
